Frequently asked questions

A few things worth knowing.

What is the Two-Generation Family Model?

NEST is developing a structured intergenerational model that creates safe opportunities for children and elders to connect, learn, share and contribute in a home-like community.

Does NEST replace someone’s existing family?

No. NEST does not seek to replace a child’s biological or legal family or an elder’s existing family relationships. The aim is responsible family-like connection and community belonging.

Where is the First Nest?

The First Nest is in Mau, Uttar Pradesh. The foundation is established and land is secured. Planning and fundraising are current priorities.

Are programmes operating already?

No operating programmes are claimed on this website. KUTUMB, Circle of Care, The Shared Table, Learning Commons, SMRITI and Living Garden are in development.

Do the images show the actual Mau site?

Concept visualizations are clearly labelled. They illustrate the future vision and do not document the present site, completed construction or existing residents.
