Expressions of interest

A new foundation. Many ways to contribute.

NEST is at the planning and fundraising stage. Programmes are in development. We welcome conversations about useful skills now and interest in future roles; this page does not advertise an operating residential programme.

Find your way to help

Time. Expertise. Community.

Professional skills

Help shape the foundation

Offer expertise in architecture, accessibility, project planning, governance, communications or fundraising. Roles depend on current needs and an agreed scope.

Remote contribution

Put your skills to work

Support research, translation, design, writing, digital organisation or storytelling, where a suitable task can be agreed.

Future on-site roles

Register for what comes next

Express interest in supervised learning, gardening, shared activities and community events as facilities, permissions and safeguarding arrangements develop.

How it works

Start with a conversation.

01

Tell us about yourself

Share your interests, relevant skills, location and availability through the contact form. Mention “Volunteering” in your message.

02

Find a suitable contribution

We will consider expressions of interest against project readiness and the support needed. Registering does not guarantee a placement or an immediate opening.

03

Agree the role and preparation

Any role should have a clear purpose, boundaries and suitable orientation. Safeguarding checks and supervision will apply where appropriate.

04

Contribute, listen and learn

Work within the agreed role, respect confidentiality and consent, and help us improve through thoughtful feedback.

Connection with responsibility

Care begins with respect.

People come first

Participation must respect dignity, consent, personal boundaries and age-appropriate activities. Direct engagement with children or elders requires suitable safeguards, readiness and supervision.

No unscheduled visits

Please contact NEST before proposing a site visit or activity. Do not share participant photographs or personal stories without appropriate permission.

A different kind of contribution

Help preserve what one generation can share with another.

Stories. Skills. A sense of purpose.

From helping document local traditions to designing a more accessible space, a thoughtful contribution can help build the conditions for belonging.
